Before move into a flat in housing apartment check you have received occupation certificate
This legal document certifies that the construction is in compliance with the approved building plans.It is issued by the local municipal authorities like BMC/CIDCO etc, after the construction is complete and the property is ready to be occupied. Without this document, your building has no legal sanction for occupancy.
According to BMC/CIDCO ,a developer can not let flat buyers occupy a house without getting an occupancy certificate(OC).This certificate is not the final documents for the building as the project still needs a certificate of completion.If you haven't,make sure ,you check the all document now.
